The aim of these new and innovative classes is to help give children and adults the chance to keep fit and healthy, in fun and exciting environment, at a very low cost. Most dance schools charge an expensive fee to join, with costly weekly payments that must be paid monthly and if you miss a week you still have to pay for it.
And not to forget the numerous amounts of uniforms that must be purchased before a child can even participate in the dance class.
BLOK Dance & Fitness Academy is different! We provide a fun environment, with no monthly fees and no uniform required, and all with a high level of experienced teaching! Kids enjoy the classes because BLOK deliver fun and exciting dance classes to great music and adults get the chance to exercise, keep fit and have fun all at the same time. From Hip Hop and Street Dance to full on aerobics, BLOK's got it covered!
Where it all began...BLOK Manager Kay Lang launched the Kay Klass Hip Hop and Street School of Dance in January 2006. Kay trained at Falkirk College gaining an HND Sports Coaching & Sports development Diploma, but has been dancing competitively since the age of 3 and now has more than 20 years experience in dance performance. Latin American, Ballroom, Disco Freestyle and Rock 'n' Roll were the styles she performed at
competition level through- out the UK. Kay also sat dance examinations throughout her dancing lifestyle and completed all exams to the highest qualification. She continues to study all forms of dance to keep her skillset up-to-date with the latest dance trends and techniques. However her love of dance remained and she became a qualified dance teacher with the United Kingdom Alliance (UKA)of professional teachers of dancing. Hip Hop and street dance is Kay's passion along with Latin American and salsa... |
Following the success of Kay Klass, Kay founded BLOK Professional Dance Troupe then BLOK Dance & Fitness Academy was launched in 2011. Now with 6 dance coaches delivering a variety of dance and fitness classes all over Scotland BLOK Dance & Fitness Academy is growing in popularity fast!!
