I love teaching all ages and abilities especially in street and hip hop, I feel I can work to every pupils needs in my classes ensuring they have fun and learn the latest moves to top class tunes.
I have been involved in dance for over 28 years teaching for the last 8 years in my own dance company so I feel I have vast knowledge and experience in my field. I am qualified in Hip Hop and street, Latin American, disco freestyle, rock n roll, salsa and cheerleading.
I am in charge of 18 coaches at Glasgow City council with my full time job co-ordinating and developing dance in all schools.
I love the fact I can dance every minute of the day and I feel I am so lucky to have achieved this as my full time job. From teaching children I formed a professional dance troupe which has been running for the last 6 years dancing at major events. I choreograph all the routines and manage 25 professional dancers; it’s great to be in charge of this and working with professional dancers as well as working with children.
I love what I do and continually progress my skills, I am constantly working on new goals and business ventures, the latest being the BLOK Dance Academy following on from my success in launching Kay Klass hip hop and street school of dance.

I absolutely love and feel so privileged to be part of the latest business venture BLOK Dance Academy. I have been dancing and working so hard for many years since I was a young girl and now having my own venues in different areas is a major achievement for me.
I love the fact that, even at this age, I can continue to do what I do best and Dance. It’s such a fulfilling job.
The best achievement now is passing on my experience and knowledge of dance to others. There are so many different age groups with different abilities to teach and help and to see them all enjoy themselves is amazing.
I have kids from the age of 2.5 yrs coming through the doors right up to older adults, including mymum.
My family and all my friends also come along to my classes to learn from mewhich I find very supportive.
It’s not very often people can say this but..... I Love my Job :)

I absolutely love teaching both kids and adults. I specialise in Hip Hop and Street dance and as a qualified Fitness Instructor I love to combine the two for my adult dance fitness style classes.
My classes are all about having fun!
From a kids point of view classes need to be fun and enjoyable whist learning at the same time. The same goes for my adult classes; I don’t think exercise needs to feel like a laborious task and my classes get so much more out of a session if they are having fun.
Nine to five I am a Fitness Education Co-ordinator for Fitness Scotland. I am really lucky that full time job compliments my teaching and I have been able to gain my Level 2 Fitness Instructor, Water Based Exercise, First Aid, Child Protection and Dance Leadership Tutor qualifications through Fitness Scotland. I am also qualified in Hip Hop and Street with the United Kingdom Alliance (UKA).
I am proud to be one of the original members of BLOK Dance Troupe and I am so excited to see the Troupe and Dance Academy grow!

BLOK has become a major part of my career in dance. Since BLOK Dance and Fitness Academy launched it has been all go and I currently have dance schools in two venues in Glasgow.
It is a massive privilege to be part of such a great group of professional coaches as we each pass on our love for dance to our pupils.
From morning to night I dance in some way; teaching dance in Primary or Secondary Schools to all abilities.
It is a very rewarding and very satisfying job that I love very much.

I enjoy teaching dance to people of all ages and abilities.  I am a qualified teacher in a variety of styles but I particularly enjoying teaching Stage and Hip Hop.  I have danced since the age of 2yrs and now love sharing my passion with others while teaching and coaching.

When teaching the most important thing to me is that my pupils have fun and enjoy themselves.

After being a dancer for so many years I now feel lucky giving other people the opportunity to develop talent and express themselves through dance.

I joined BLOK in 2007 and after a period of performing with the girls I began to help out at the BLOK Dance Academy. I have lots of experience in this area, having been an assistant dance teacher at the school where I was taught since I was a child. I have helped teach many styles including freestyle, slowdance, tap and hip hop (my favourite) and I love every minute of it. The feeling of seeing a great dance come together is amazing and the confidence it gives to those learning it is incredible! I've seen so many people, both children and adults, gain a massive boost in self esteem and confidence through dance and it gives me great pleasure to continue helping promote the BLOK Dance Academy with the other coaches.

I joined BLOK in 2010, since then I have achieved so much and I am now an Assistant Dance Coach.
We teach various ages, I enjoy and love working with both kids and adults and watching them progress each week and seeing how their passion for dance shows in their performance.

Dance has been a big part of my life since I was little and it’s an honour to now be an Assistant Dance Coach for BLOK Dance Academy.
